Rite of the Rings

What does the Rite of the Rings consist of and how it can enrich your Civil Wedding in Catania and Sicily

As a Civil Wedding Celebrant in Catania and Sicily, I am always looking for unique and personal ways to make my spouses' big day special.

One of the rites that I often propose is the Rite of the Warmth of the Rings (or Rite of the Rings or of the Warmth of the Hands).

This ceremony, which represents the union between two people, is deeply felt by both the spouses and their loved ones (witnesses and relatives) and represents a moment of great emotion.

But what happens during the Rite of the Rings? And how do you involve the witnesses and relatives of the spouses?

In this rite, witnesses and relatives have a very important role: they are in fact the bearers of the rings and act as representatives of the friends and acquaintances who accompany (and will accompany) the spouses on their life journey together every day.

During the ceremony, before the spouses exchange their vows, the celebrant gives the box of rings to the witnesses and relatives so that, holding them to their chest, they can take a minute to dedicate an intimate thought to the spouses, thus imbuing the wedding rings nuptial of all the love and affection they feel towards them.

At this point, the rings, enriched and transmuted by this positive energy, return to the celebrant, who will give them to the spouses who will thus be able to exchange them and seal their union with the first kiss as husband and wife.

The Rite of the Rings can be customized in many ways. For example, the bride and the groom can choose to exchange vows written by themselves or add quotes or poems that have special meaning for their relationship.

Furthermore, witnesses and relatives can have an even more active role during the ceremony, for example by reading passages chosen by the spouses or expressing their wishes for happiness. All this makes the Rite of the Rings even more exciting and engaging.

This ceremony is therefore highly customizable and the spouses can also choose to integrate it with other highly suggestive rituals.
